The Case for Recycled Materials
Wool and cashmere production takes up land that could be used for food production and creates water pollution and CO2 production. Recycled wool and cashmere greatly reduce the need for land, water, dyes, chemicals and energy compared to virgin wool.
The production of polyester uses energy and creates CO2 in its production. It ends up and overwhelms landfills when it’s discarded. Recycled polyester reduces landfill, requires significantly less energy than virgin poly to make while also reducing the need for crude oil.
And while we know that nothing is perfect, when you can re-use and recycle what already exists, that's more than a good thing. Check out the cool and beautiful items below made from recycled materials.
